Experiences with BIOCRYSTAL^® PetPad™

Cester, my American-Staffordshire terrier, who is now eight years old, had been suffering from severe osteoarthritis in the right hip that had severely restricted his mobility. When the weather changed, he was sometimes in so much pain that he could hardly get up let alone walk without hobbling. It kept on getting worse and the vet who was treating him in winter 2014 said that he had six months to live at best. Several treatments and therapies, including surgery, all intended to create a pain-free life for the animal were carried out to no avail.

In March 2015, I heard about a special crystal mat (BIOCRYSTAL-PetPad) that could perhaps help him or alleviate his pain on a natural basis. I was initially extremely sceptical as to whether anything like that could actually work but I did want to give Cester another chance. We’ve been using it since then. An animal alternative practitioner also did some chiropractic work on him once at the time.

We just placed the PetPad in the dog’s bed. It was amazing. At first, Cester just stayed in his bed for most of the time. And he initially laid down with the right side facing down, which he had never done before. It was striking how much he slept and when the pad at times slipped he grabbed hold of it and tried to pull it on to his body as if he wanted to cover himself with it. It was apparent after 10 days that Cester was more mobile than previously but he was still limping. After a total of around three weeks, he was properly mobile again for the first time in many months and presented no more anomalies in his movements. He also started to move much more again and romped around. We have been using the PetPad for almost 1.5 years and, with the exception of three to four minor relapses, Cester has no longer had any health problems.

Looking back and to finish off, I would like to say that the striking change in his behaviour led me to believe that Cester must have instinctively felt that this ‘thing’ was helping him. Animals with their natural instinct are probably more honest than us humans with our intellects.
