Safety and Data Protection

We attach great importance to protecting your privacy. You will find detailed information on how we handle your data below.

Collecting, processing and using personal data

You can visit our website without providing any personal information. We only store access data with no personal connection, e.g. the name of your internet service provider or the web page from which you are visiting our website. This data is evaluated solely for the purpose of improving our services, and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn concerning your identity.

Personal data is only collected if you give it to us voluntarily when placing an order or opening a customer account. Under no circumstances is the collected data sold or transmitted to any third party for any other reason. We use the data you provide to process and execute your order and to send you information about articles in our product range.

Data security

Every purchase from our website is processed using the best encryption method commercially available (128-bit Secure Socket Layer). This ensures that your transactions are safe and no information can be forwarded to unauthorised third parties. Specific pages on our website that are encrypted on transmission are identified by the closed lock symbol in your browser’s lower status bar.

We use the data you send us to process and execute your order.

We keep an order history so that we can trace the orders you placed in the past and make you suitable offers where appropriate. We also collect information about the number of “hits” on our website and observe anonymous use patterns so that we can continue making the site more user-friendly. Our website also uses cookies.

During the order process, your personal data is encrypted by SSL (Secure Socket Layer) before being transmitted via the internet. Nobody can guarantee absolute protection, but we protect our website and other systems by implementing technical and organisation measures against the loss, destruction, access, amendment and dissemination of your data by unauthorised persons. Credit card data is not stored but sent directly to our payment service provider, where it is processed. Your customer account can only be accessed by entering your personal password.

Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and facilitate analysis of your website use. The information generated by the cookie concerning your use of this website is usually sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Your IP address will be recorded but pseudonymised immediately (e.g. by deleting the last 8 bits). This means that only a rough localisation is possible. The data is processed on the basis of the statutory provisions of § 96 (3) TKG (Austrian Telecommunications Act) and Art 6 (1) lit a (approval) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO (Austrian General Data Protection Regulation). Our concern within the meaning of the DSGVO (legitimate interests) is to improve our offer and our website. Because our users’ privacy is important, the user data is pseudonymised.

We have concluded a corresponding contract on order data processing with the provider.

You can prevent the cookies from being installed by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use all the website functions in full. You can also prevent the data relating to your website use generated by the cookie (incl. your IP address) from being sent to and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

image rights

All copyrights remain with the copyright holder and, if indicated, the photographer. Any commercial use (including publication in brochures, use in advertisements on other websites, etc.) of the images, even in modified form (e.g. by image editing programs) is only permitted with the express permission of the copyright holder (please send inquiries by e-mail to office@heitex.at).

The images may not be used for licensing in any form or for sale to third parties. We would like to point out that the user alone is responsible for the infringement of the above-mentioned rights of use and the resulting claims of the author.

Integration of third-party services and content

It may happen that third party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps or graphics from other websites, is integrated within the Optimo online offer. This always presupposes that the providers of this content perceive the IP address of the users, because without the IP address they cannot send the content to the browser of the respective user. The IP address is therefore required for the display of this content. We make every effort to use only those contents whose respective providers use the IP address only for the delivery of the contents. However, we have no influence on this if the third party providers store the IP address for statistical purposes, for example. As far as we know, we inform the users about this.

Right to information

You have basic rights to  information, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law or your data privacy rights are violated in any other way, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. This is the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
